My 'Asylum Senses' are tingling...

After finding a few pieces of wood and cleaning them up, I decided to paint on them. The result was two beautiful and creepy girls in straitjackets, the pair was named 'Asylum Senses'.

There is Voice, the one without a mouth. And there is Sight, the one with three eyes.

This is Sight. Plagued by visions at a young age, she was sent to the asylum when she could no longer control them.

This is Voice. She is a young girl who couldn't find her voice, so she was sent to the asylum after a series of events. She just wants to speak up, but can't.

My Asylum Senses paintings, Sight & Voice.

Little Miss Muffet sat on her tuffet...

I was inspired by the old nursery rhyme, Little Miss Muffet, and decided to paint my version of the girl. She became rather Tim Burton-esque, which meant, to me, that her spider needed to be a creepy black widow-like spider. And somehow, Little Miss Muffet ended up being mad and glaring at the spider, instead of running away.

Little Miss Muffet sat on her tuffet, eating her curds and whey.
Along came a spider, who sat down beside her, and frightened Miss Muffet away...

Nymphs... They are magical.

Yeah, sorry about the weird title, but I couldn't really think of anything... ^^; As the title says, I've painted some nymphs, an Anthousai and a Dryad. These were both new experiences for me, but I think I did pretty well!

Exciting News!!!

I have finally taken the big jump into being a painter! I have signed up for a local craft show! It's held by the Virginia Beach Farmers Market (which is open year round), and I've gotten a spot! While I realize that this isn't a particularly exciting thing for many artists, it's my first show, so I'm super happy! So, if you live in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, or will be in the area on Saturday, feel free to stop by and check my work out!
